    ISEC Summer School - Robotics [3rd Edition] (July 16-27, 2012)

      The third edition of ISEC Summer School - Robotics, once again with renewed and improved contents, made it possible for the participants to build and program their own robots from scratch. This year's edition had a contribution from AIESEC. Also, the participants had the chance to have a closer look to what is being done in the industrial field concerning robotics, in Coimbra, with a visit to SIRMAF and Solien facilities (to whom we are thankful, for their prompt availability and support).

      PTRobotics and Mixtronica were the official sponsors of ISEC Summer School - Robotics'12.

    Pense Industria 2020 at ISEC (February 27 - March 02, 2012)

      Regarding CTCV's project Pense Industria 2020 it is being held at ISEC, with the active participation of RoboCorp as well, a week of events, in order to bring high school students from Coimbra, a closer look to the technological/engineering world.

    FENGE 2012 (April 16-19, 2012)

      The Students' Association of the Engineering Institute of Coimbra (AEISEC), in collaboration with the Engineering Institute of Coimbra (ISEC) has once again organized one of Portugal's greatest engineering fairs. FENGE provided an opportunity to share experiences between engineering companies and the student community. RoboCorp actively participated in the fair presenting lectures on robotics, industrial applications, new courses and many more.

    FSS11 - Symposium on Fractional Signals and Systems (November 4-5, 2011 in Coimbra, Portugal)

      The word fractional is quite up-to-date in this beginning of the XXI century. In fact we find it in a lot of apparently different scientific fields that in a first glance seem not to have any connection. In this symposium organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra were discussed several contributions on this domain.

      Micael Couceiro presented the papers entitled "Fractional Order Darwinian Particle Swarm Optimization” and “Cooperative Transportation of an Object based on Fractional Order Controllers”.

      Miguel Luz presented the paper entitled “Towards a Correction Metric to the Putting Lip-Out”.

    FENGE 2011 (May 23-26, 2011)

      The Students' Association of the Engineering Institute of Coimbra (AEISEC), in collaboration with the Engineering Institute of Coimbra (ISEC) has once again organized one of Portugal's greatest engineering fairs. FENGE provided an opportunity to share experiences between engineering companies and the student community. This was the first time that RoboCorp actively participated in the fair presenting lectures and debates on robotics, industrial applications, new courses and many more.

Organization of events

    ISEC Summer School - Robotics [1st Edition]

      This first edition of ISEC Summer School - Robotics invited high school juniors and seniors to apply for an intensive summer school of two weeks offered by RoboCorp and the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) at the Engineering Institute of Coimbra (ISEC) and co-sponsored by the Technological Center of Ceramics and Glass (CTCV). 32 students were able to build, program, and use their own robot competing with each others. This extra-curricular event may help fill an essential educational gap that still exists in many of our schools.
